Every year on the first day of Spring every Rita's location offers a FREE regular size water ice (if you've never been out to this area you probably have no idea what that is - just imagine a cross between a snow cone and a slurpee, only a zillion times tastier).
Once Kaylee returned from school this afternoon the girls and I headed over to wait in line. After only about a 30 minute wait we were on our way home with our delicious treats in lovely flavors like juicy pear, banana, blue raspberry and key lime. YUMMY!!!
This is one thing we will definitely miss when we move to Texas.

A Major Award
The 1st graders at Kaylee's elementary school were honored yesterday for their achievements during the second marking period. Our intelligent and talented little Kaylee received THREE awards!
She was recognized for Art, Good Citizenship, and Honor Roll (there were only about a dozen students from all the 1st grade classes that achieved this one). Great job, Kaylee!!!

The Brass Cups
Brenna: Mom, can you sing Nephi?
Me: "The Lord commanded Nephi to go and get the plates . . . "
Brenna: No! To get the CUPS.
