Love, Love, Love
We always spend one of our Family Nights in February making Valentine cards for one another. So here's the crew hard at work this year (even McKell wanted to participate).
We decorated heart-shaped sugar cookies the week of Valentine's and gave some of them away to friends.
McKell really enjoyed eating the ones we didn't give away. And any cookies left momentarily unattended on the table were free game as far as she was concerned.
Friday morning McKell and I went to Brenna's preschool for her class Valentine's party. They played musical chairs, ate snacks (which McKell was very happy to join them for), and decorated cookies.
Here's Miss Brenna enjoying some of her sweets after school.
Friday afternoon we went over to the elementary school for Ashlyn's class party (Kaylee's class had a party as well, but I take turns in terms of which party I attend). Ashlyn's class ate pizza and cookies, decorated picture frames, and had tons of fun dressing up and taking silly pictures (to be printed and placed in the frames they had decorated).
McKell, once again, enjoyed indulging in all the goodies. She probably doesn't need any more junk food for the rest of the year.
Here are a few shots of the fun little photo booth the Room Moms had set up for the kiddos (it was a great idea).
That night I had the kids eat dinner early, then we all went over to the church. What? We went to the church on Valentine's night? Yup. The youth of the Spanish ward that meets in our building do a fundraiser dinner on Valentine's Day every year. They provide free babysitting, which is really why I was interested in supporting their fundraiser. They had everything set up really nice, each couple had their own little table, and I would absolutely do it again.
It was a fun day, but my kids definitely got too much candy. Hopefully their teeth won't show the effects when they visit the dentist next month. :)

Bike Riders
Ashlyn recently learned how to ride her bike without the training wheels - Hooray!
The following day was Saturday, so Russ promised Kaylee and Ashlyn the three of them could ride their bikes over to the park.
Of course the little girls didn't want to miss out on a trip to the park, so I pushed them over in the stroller. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon (which we haven't had many of the past few months), and we had some fun family time.
